The year 2014 was our Centenary year. A special meeting was arranged on 17th February, the 100th anniversary of the consecration of St Augustine’s Lodge, when the Centenary Warrant was presented to the Lodge by The Right Worshipful Brother David F Macey, The Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire. There were also a number of social events organised to celebrate this occasion to raise money for charity.

A celebratory Lunch was held at Kings Norton Golf Club on Sunday March 9th for the brethren and their families and friends, where the raffle raised £250 for Tilly Totts, a charity founded by the daughter and son-in-law of one of our members after the premature birth of their daughter, which supports premature babies and their parents by providing much needed facilities and equipment vital to help the child survive. The Kitchen and bar staff at the Golf Club were so moved by the story of Matilda that they donated a weeks worth of tips to the cause.

On Saturday May 17th at The Provincial AGM a member of the Lodge, W Bro Mike Payne, received his Provincial Honours, being appointed as an Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies. This made him the first Acting Officer in the Lodge for 17 years

The annual Provincial Church Service took place at St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Warwick on Sunday 8th June. This, as normal,was well supported by members of St Augustine’s and acts as a social event for the members. Before the service the current Acting Provincial Officers Paraded through the streets of Warwick to the Church.

The annual Ladies evening was held on Friday August 29th at the Mettis Aerospace Social Club, Redditch and was attended by 70 members and guests. The Charity supported was Touchstones, who provide support for bereaved young people in NE Worcs. The raffle and auction held in support of this charity raised £ 565.00.

The Christmas Party took place on Saturday December 20th at  the same venue attended by 75 members and guests. The entertainment was provided by a live band, Rattlesnake Jake. Money was raised for St Richards Hospice, Warwick, by means of a raffle and quiz, total raised  £575.00
